Edgar Smith is an experienced litigator who dedicates the majority of his practice to defending companies, both local and national, in various lawsuits filed throughout the southeastern United States. His law practice includes maritime tort and contract matters, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, real estate litigation, and business litigation.

He is admitted to practice in all Federal and State Courts of Georgia. His admissions include the United States Supreme Court; the Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals; the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Georgia; the Supreme Court of Georgia; and the Georgia Courts of Appeals.

A native of Plains, Georgia, Edgar is a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he earned his J.D. with cum laude honors. While at the University of Georgia, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and Gridiron. In 2001, Edgar received his B.B.A. in Marketing from Georgia Southern University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He now resides in Savannah, Georgia, with his family.
