(Atlanta, GA — August 3, 2017) — FisherBroyles LLP, the nation’s first and world’s largest cloud-based distributed law firm partnership announced today that it has acquired the Sacramento based IP boutique, Ntellect Law, PC, which includes Charles Yang, John Yang, and Andrew Moreton. In addition to the three patent attorneys, the group is bringing patent engineer Eric Severini and an experienced IP support staff. This group brings extensive experience in patent prosecution, litigation, and IP counseling, and significantly expands an already deep patent bench at FisherBroyles.
“Attorneys, especially intellectual property attorneys, are continuing to realize that our Law Firm 2.0® platform provides them a unique opportunity to concentrate on their clients’ needs without worrying about the inefficient practices of BigLaw that waste time and money,” said FisherBroyles co-founder and Managing Partner James M. Fisher, II. “Our focus is on leveraging talent and advanced technology instead of outdated methods and unnecessary overhead that adds no value to the client.”
“FisherBroyles provides the perfect platform for our clients that need a nationwide bench and the full spectrum of transactional, litigation, and intellectual property related legal services while getting the same efficiency and personal attention they have come to expect from us,” said new partner Charles Yang. “I am very excited about the amazing team of top-notch lawyers assembled here, and I cannot wait to help our clients take advantage of our expanded capabilities.”
FisherBroyles’ Intellectual Property Managing Partner T.J. DoVale said that this group represents an addition to an already deep patent prosecution bench that rivals any AmLaw 200 law firm. “We currently have 34 patent prosecution attorneys. Our Law Firm 2.0® model allows FisherBroyles to successfully compete with other world-class intellectual property law groups in terms of both price and capabilities.”
“Whether in the international realm of IP law or in the domestic platform, we look forward to providing optimal value to our clients so that they can focus on building and growing their relationships and businesses,” said new FisherBroyles partner John Yang.
New FisherBroyles counsel Andrew Moreton added, “We truly believe that the future of law firm practice is FisherBroyles’ Law Firm 2.0® platform and are excited to be a part of the model that other firms are now trying to imitate. And with the move to a full-service firm, we believe this is a win-win for both our clients and our team.”
