Mr. Graves concentrates his practice in the field of Intellectual Property, with a focus on mechanical patent prosecution. A registered patent attorney, he has extensive experience in domestic and international patent prosecution and has significant experience in the mechanical, electromechanical and textile technologies for clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to large corporations. His practice also comprises conducting patentability studies, infringement and invalidity analyses, portfolio and competitor analyses, as well as drafting and negotiating Intellectual Property license agreements. Mr. Graves also has significant experience procuring design patent protection and copyright registrations.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Graves used his mechanical engineering background in a variety of capacities. As a manufacturing engineer with Fenner Dunlop, he designed and installed processing equipment in a large manufacturing facility. Prior to that, he was a quality manager for Gardner Denver and an advanced process engineer for Milliken & Co.
Mr. Graves is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Intellectual Property section of the Georgia Bar Association.
