Mike McEntee has over 25 years in the electronics and software industry and is a registered patent agent primarily focused on preparing and prosecuting patent applications. He has prosecuted patents in the areas of 5G wireless, cloud computing, social networks, Internet of things, mobile healthcare, artificial intelligence, neural networks and big data.
Prior to joining FisherBroyles, Mr. McEntee worked as a patent agent for Farrell IP Law and as a patent consultant to patent licensing firms, operating companies and law firms.
Mr. McEntee was also a consultant to Accelerate Long Island where he advised startup companies in patent strategy. Accelerate Long Island is a collaboration among Long Island’s research institutions and its business community to commercialize research and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As Senior Director of Corporate Development at InterDigital Communications LLC, Mr. McEntee was responsible for analyzing and acquiring patent portfolios in support of strategic licensing initiatives.
As Senior Director of Product Management at InterDigital Communications LLC, Mr. McEntee was responsible for the development of advanced wireless technologies including WCDMA and LTE.
Mike was Director of the Silicon Foundry Business unit at Standard Microsystems where he managed business development for manufacturing services in the production of MicroElectroMechanical Systems.
Mike began his career managing robotic automation products for Festo Corporation and designing semiconductor test systems for Northrop Grumman Corp.
Mike is also on the Advisory Board of the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at Hofstra University and inventor on U.S. Patent 8,665,899 – Architecture for integrating a soft mobile VoIP client in a cellular PC card.
