(New York – October 18, 2021)—FisherBroyles, LLP is pleased to announce it has been selected as a Diversity Champion by the National Council on Patent Practicum (“NCPP”).

To help increase the number of women and minorities within the patent profession, FisherBroyles has partnered with the NCPP, Facebook, and other national firms to launch the Patent Pipeline Program.

The Patent Pipeline Program (“PPP”) is a program designed specifically for technical specialists and patent agents. The goal of the program is to provide training, resources, and job opportunities to women and minority scientists and engineers to help them transition into the patent profession.

As a Diversity Champion, FisherBroyles has committed to:

 

• Providing one-on-one training opportunities to diverse technical specialists and patent engineers;
• Financially sponsoring candidates; and
• Onboarding graduates of the program

 

The PPP will run for six months. Over the course of the program, candidates will have the unique opportunity to work closely with both in-house and private practice attorneys to learn the mechanics of patent drafting and prosecution and to understand the motivations that ultimately drive a company’s patent strategy.
