Ms. Butler focuses her national practice on providing business counsel, litigation strategy and trial capabilities to corporations, transportation companies and retail establishments. She has experience addressing a variety of emergency situations including industrial accidents, personal injury and other catastrophes.

She also assists clients with healthcare compliance requirements including issues related to the anti-kickback statues; the False Claims Act; advertising, labeling and promotion; Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; HIPAA; reimbursement issues; and the implementation of compliance programs. Client representation often includes negotiations or agreements, filing or defense of emergency injunctions and isolation of issues and implementation of immediate solutions.

    • Work with sale and transfer of pharmacies;
    • Assess healthcare providers business practices and culture for implementation of compliance programs;
    • Assist in company expansions with federal and state reporting requirements and implementation of strategy for ongoing certifications and compliance;
    • Significant experience in both business transportation litigation including semi-tractor trailer, heavy equipment accidents, personal injury litigation, product liability litigation and premises liability litigation;
    • Litigated numerous business disputes including challenges to ownership interests, dissolutions, breach of contract and non-competition agreements;
    • Successfully defended company from contention injunction required by direct competitor that, if granted would have eliminated existence of business; and
    • Negotiated removal of prior permanent injunction against client.
