Lara serves as chair of the firm’s Private Investment Funds Group and on the Executive Committee of the FinTech & Blockchain Group.
Lara concentrates her practice on domestic and international private investment funds, primarily in the venture capital, hedge fund, and real estate spaces. She represents fund managers in the formation of private funds as well as in their investments in portfolio companies. She has a particular verve for representing institutional limited partners in their investments in private funds, ensuring that they are well-protected and their unique concerns are satisfactorily addressed by the respective general partner.
Lara provides creative structuring solutions for burgeoning industries such as social and environmental impact investing, cryptocurrencies, and digital securities. Lara also has significant experience advising startup and emerging companies on formation and venture capital financings. She forms and advises social enterprises and charities on a range of issues including the creation of for-profit and non-profit hybrid structures.
