Marie is a patent agent whose practice focuses on the drafting and prosecuting of patent applications. Marie has extensive experience successfully prosecuting US and foreign patent applications for Fortune 500 companies, small business, educational institutions, and startups.
Marie’s expertise is in the areas of computer software and hardware, communication systems, business systems, graphical user interfaces, semiconductor devices, image processing and compression, cryptography, digital and analog circuits, networks, optical recording devices, electronic handheld devices, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
Prior to joining FisherBroyles, Marie worked for law firms in Washington, D.C., and Minneapolis as a patent agent. Prior to becoming a patent agent, Marie spent 27 years as a practicing engineer. As a Senior Principal Engineer for Polaroid Corporation her responsibilities included both hardware and software designs for Polaroid’s digital scanners, printers, and cameras. Marie also worked on hardware and software integration for Polaroid’s electronic identification systems. In addition, Marie is an inventor with five patents to her name.
