Rich concentrates his practice on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and International Patent Applications in the area of chemistry, including consumer products, novel compositions of matter and methods of manufacture. Rich has extensive experience in patenting pharmaceuticals, polymers, chemical processes and methods of treatment. Rich has drafted and filed over 435 patent applications and prosecuted an excess of 300 to issuance.

Prior to transferring to the Intellectual Property Division while at Procter & Gamble to pursue a career as a Patent Agent, Mr. Echler was a research chemist with wide experience in pharmaceutical small molecule synthesis, fats and oils technology, process scale up and product formulation. While at Procter & Gamble he supported the laundry products division, fabric care division, personal care division and pharmaceutical division, as well as providing patent education and IP counseling to researchers and training to new employees.
