Scott has significant experience in what he considers to be the three must-have skills of a patent attorney: development of patent rights, patent litigation and technology-related transactions/negotiations. As a registered patent attorney, he enjoys enhancing the growth of technology-driven clients by providing patent portfolio growth strategies, executing on those strategies through patent preparation and prosecution, providing freedom-to-operate and invalidity assessments to minimize the risks of infringement liability, and providing litigation support as needed. Scott also has experience with inter partes reviews and other post-grant processes resulting in nationally renowned success. Additionally, having been a client himself in his role as in-house counsel for Digeo, a Paul Allen Wired World company, Scott understands the challenges faced by the tech executives and legal professionals whom he serves as counsel and works very hard to formulate creative ways to make their professional lives easier.
