FisherBroyles, LLP, the world’s first and largest distributed law firm partnership, is pleased to welcome Paul Beard to its Los Angeles office.
Mr. Beard brings a full-service land-use and environmental practice to the firm, and he becomes the latest partner to join our unique Law Firm 2.0 model after previously working for an AmLaw 100 firm.
For Mr. Beard, joining FisherBroyles allowed him to be part of a firm that has become well-known for its depth of talent and cutting-edge business structure, while giving him the ability to have more control over his practice.
“FisherBroyles’ reputation as the first and largest law firm model of its kind, coupled with the flexibility partners have in setting the terms of their representations, was the biggest draw,” said Mr. Beard.
According to Mr. Beard, being part of the Law Firm 2.0 model gives him the same opportunities he would have at another AmLaw 100 firm, but also provides him with more freedom at the same time.
“FisherBroyles offers partners like me a BigLaw platform, with BigLaw talent. And it does so without the BigLaw rates,” he said.
“My clients are already thrilled with the efficiencies and savings that the model allows me to pass on to them.”
FisherBroyles is excited about Mr. Beard’s arrival, as his valuable experience and deep legal knowledge will provide additional strength to the firm.
“Paul is a fantastic addition to the Firm,” said Joel Ferdinand, General Counsel and Managing Partner – Litigation. “His environmental and land-use experience is significant, and his litigation prowess is exceptional.”
Mr. Beard has a strong litigation track record and is a versatile attorney. He works in the areas of commercial litigation, compliance counseling, regulatory takings and eminent domain, and oil and gas law. For his excellence in the field, he was named in the list of The Best Lawyers in America from 2018 to 2020 in Land Use and Zoning Law and Environmental Law. Mr. Beard received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles and earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School. He is admitted to practice in Texas and California.
