Firm acted on behalf of Suniva Inc., a manufacturer of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells

Atlanta, Georgia — April 5, 2024 — FisherBroyles, LLP is pleased to announce Kevin Broyles, Managing Partner, and Michael Khoury, Partner, successfully acted on behalf of Suniva Inc., the largest and oldest U.S. manufacturer of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells, to secure a new strategic partnership with Heliene Inc., a customer-first provider of North American-made solar PV modules.

The three-year strategic sourcing contract negotiated by FisherBroyles means Heliene Inc. will incorporate Suniva Inc.’s U.S.-made solar cells into its U.S.-made solar modules, which will be ready for the market in mid-2024.  The partnership makes Heliene’s modules the first crystalline solar modules with U.S.-made solar cells.

Following the agreement, the companies are set to quickly scale domestic cell and module manufacturing to match the rising demand for secure and reliable domestically made crystalline PV modules. The partnership comes at a critical moment for the industry as all U.S.-made solar crystalline modules have been restricted to using imported cells up until now.

Kevin Broyles, Managing Partner at FisherBroyles, commented:

“We are pleased to have secured successful terms in this contract for our client, Suniva Inc., which will enable vast improvements in the U.S solar supply chain and increase manufacturing output significantly. We’re looking forward to seeing the long-term impact the partnership makes at this important time for the solar industry in the U.S.”
