Neil Hamilton is a senior Capital Markets partner with over 25 years’ experience in securitisation and structured finance.

Neil acts for arrangers, originators, managers, servicers and trustees and has extensive experience in a variety of securitisation asset classes, including RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, auto loans and leases, consumer loans and trade receivables. He also advises on structured products such as repackagings and total return swaps.

    CLO / Direct Lending Funds / SME loan securitisations

    • Acted for Sequoia Investment Management as investment adviser to a US$225m CLO of infrastructure debt.
    • Acted for Fidelity on the acquisition of the CLO business of MeDirect Bank.
    • Acted on the establishment of Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Limited (now a FTSE 250 listed company) and subsequent capital raisings
    • Acted for a major US investment bank on the provision of senior financing to a European direct lending fund.
    • Acted for a Luxembourg bank as originator on a securitisation of European SME loans.

    Trade Receivables /Trade Finance

    • Acted for a major US investment bank on the provision of senior financing to a European direct lending fund.
    • Acted for a European investment bank on a repackaging of trade finance receivables.
    • Acted for a major French bank on a number of trade receivables securitisations.
    • CMBS
    • Acted for a US credit fund on the unwind of a UK CMBS transaction.
    • Acted for a major UK pension fund on the acquisition of a residual interest in a UK CMBS transaction.


    • Acted for a UK insurance company as arranger of a UK RMBS structured for regulatory capital purposes.

    Structured Real Estate Finance

    • Acted for Mount Street Mortgage Servicing Ltd as security agent / trustee on several structured real estate transactions.
