biography
Patricia (“Patty”) practices primarily in intellectual property (“IP”) and commercial litigation. In a litigation context, Patty has a depth of experience handling all aspects of disputes and active litigation from the pre-suit investigation stage through trial. Due to her litigation experience, she also practices in IP licensing and diligence work, and advises her clients on other transactional matters involving technology.
Patty excels at handling bet-the-company or multi-million dollar litigation matters with many moving parts, but she also regularly represents smaller clients in commercial disputes where she identifies ways to leverage litigation to achieve her clients’ outcomes. In short, she develops and implements a tailored strategy for each client’s needs, whether this means vigorously advocates for her client’s position through trial or maximizing a client’s interests in settlement.
Patty also assists clients with the development and licensing of intellectual property for which she frequently drafts licensing agreements, collaborative development agreements, software licensing agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and other technology-related agreements. ...
